Professional Art Lessons For Children And Adults in Gatineau (Aylmer)

I have been teaching art classes since 2009 when I was residing in Vancouver, and have successfully guided over 2,000 students, many of whom have been accepted into art schools and showcased their work. Now, I am based in the Outaouais region (Gatineau, Aylmer) and excited to offer private and group lessons. My goal is to help you discover your unique style and artistic potential.

I provide various lesson formats to suit your needs:

Atelier-style lessons: Flexible learning tailored to your inspirations and pace, ideal for skill development.
Fundamental Courses (starting January 2025): Structured lessons covering essential theoretical and practical art principles for self-taught artists.
Portfolio Preparation: Focused sessions to help you create a strong portfolio.
Special workshops: Coming in 2025.

For inquiries, please email elena.nahum.leroy@gmail.com. Examples of what we do can be found in galleries of children’s and adults’ works.

Collages for Fun

What is Collage? It is a form of art that involves arranging and pasting different materials onto a surface to create a new and unique image. Technically,  now all graphic design is a kind of collage art, but in digital form. Some mixed media projects use elements of collage.

To me, this technique is fun and it opens wide creative opportunities. It’s faster to make, easier to twist things around, and always unique. Collage is also a challenge because I have to match a lot of things, from composition and proportions to material use.

Some collages I’m making have no specific purpose other than bring some positive emotions to your (and my) life. While others have deeper meanings and have encoded messages that require some knowledge of history, literature, and art movements.

Bright Collages About Everyday Life

A Door to my Imagnarium

Original Oil and Acrylic Painting

I’m painting primarily in oil and watercolour and depicting conceptual ideas using a variety of techniques and materials. And, of course, I love painting with my handmade paints to make my paintings very own.

I’m not selling prints of oil or acrylic paintings as all them have unique texture and finishing. So, you’ll be the only owner of my artwork. No copies. All paintings go with free Canada-wide shipping.

Original Paintings

Illustrations to life (real and fantasy)

Linocut Prints

What is Linocut? It’s one of many printmaking techniques when you carve a sheet of linoleum and then, using different inks and surfaces, create prints. Even if you use the same carving block, the prints will always look slightly (or not slightly) different as you can use a variety of colours, bring some correction to carving, use different textures and many other things.

In linocut, the most time-consuming part of the work is carving. After a lino sheet is ready, printing takes less time and efforts. My linocut prints are very affordable.

Original Lino Prints

For Children And Adults

Illustrations To Books and Cards

“With your work, I want to decorate the childhood of my kids”, said one of my buyers. And I’m working on that. New books for children, creative cards with humour, and crazy magnets are coming up. Check them. If you got my messages, my goal is achieved.

Creative Illustrations

Original and Never-Repeating

Jewelry With History

Every piece of jewelry from this site is unique. As a designer, I am sure it’s important to never replicate my creations. What you see here is what you’ll get. No copies. No repetition. No mass production. Only original pieces. Of course, the flip side of this is that if it’s sold, it is gone for good.

Please check my Artefact Collection as pieces from there are the perfect gifts for the special persons in your life who have everything. Can you imagine them wearing a piece of history? A pendant from the times of Alexander the Great? A Viking amulet? Early Christian religious relics? Yes, you can find all of this right here.

My hot enamel jewelry brings some colors to metalwork. You can find styles and colors that match your mood: from minimalist sterling silver pendants to bold and colorful boho-style necklaces. With hot enamel everything is possible.

And yes, I can make custom jewelry for you. Ask for a quote, I’m always reasonable.

Hand-Made Jewelry

Only original pieces with free shipping options
