FINE PRINT: Fascinus Lazuli set has an authentic ancient silver Roman pendant amulet, dated circa 200 AD – 400 AD (4.8g)
Fascinus Lazuli is a necklace with a silver ancient true amulet and matching earrings. Fascinus was a Roman god who protected people from sorcery, witchcraft, envy, and the evil eye. He was invoked to protect women in childbirth and their children.
I restored, cleaned and framed this artefact with sterling silver findings and lapis lazuli faceted beads.
Lapis lazuli has a two-part name that comes from two different cultures. Lapis is a Latin word meaning “stone,” while lazuli comes from the Persian word lazhuward, meaning “blue.” Ancient Egyptians saw it as a symbol of the night sky and associated with strength and courage, royalty and wisdom, intellect and truth. From antiquity, lapis lazuli has been worn in the belief that it will ward off evil.
This necklace is unique and will be a perfect gift to wear for a special occasion. It’s minimalistic and elegant, small in size and big in meaning. Especially good for a bride who wants spiritual protection.
