The piece consists of a fresh banana affixed to a wall with duct tape, embodying the concept of conceptual art. Accompanying the banana is a certificate of authenticity, which includes detailed instructions and diagrams for its proper installation. Two editions of the work were sold for $120,000 each at Art Basel Miami Beach, attracting widespread media attention. The third edition was donated to the Guggenheim Museum. In November 2024, the second edition of the piece was resold for $6.2 million.
