This painting is hardly possible to move around because the weight of the Pheonix oil painting is more than 7 kilos (15 lbs). The painting is completely dry, meaning that originally I used at least 12 kilos of raw oil paint to satisfy my impasto technique.
I was working on this painting for almost a year. This work symbolizes my exit from depression caused by COVID-19 changes, when I had to close my art school and cancel all art events and shows because all social life got frozen for an indefinite time. But all hard times make us stronger (if not kill ), and the Pheonix shows that: 4 strong wings (2 extra just in case), strong paws, fire to rebirth, and a helmet fro protection.
Original oil painting on gallery stretched canvas, FRAMED.
