Through A Walk of Art, an annual outdoor exhibition showcasing local talent, and the widely appreciated community calendar Artists of Old Ottawa East, the Mainstreeter actively promotes the work of the area’s many skilled artists and artisans. It also supports youth development by mentoring aspiring young journalists and providing hands-on, work-like experiences to younger members of its volunteer distribution team.
