There is always something good and something not good happening daily. Most people tend to remember little unlucky things (like a bad traffic, rain that started right at the moment you left the house, a document you were working on for 10 days that suddenly got deleted etc.).

Most inspirational quotes and messages try to pull you away from what made you unhappy and to replace this with something happy happened. However, happy things go along one scale, and unhappy things go along another. I mean, happy things may mask feelings from somethings unlucky happened to you, but they don’t cure. Like you can put a white card on top of a black one, but you know that the black card is still underneath.

For those who still keep in mind that black card (like I do) I created series of magnets and cards “Life Sucks, But That’s OK“. With these series I wanted to show that little unlucky things happen, but that’s OK. They are part of our life and not THAT BAD. It’s ok to have some little accidents happen, and all we experience that. You’re not alone in little cataclysms of life.

Social media make us feel unsatisfied with our lives, because everyone is posting just smiling and happy faces, pictures from trips, special restaurants, and special events. People stopped sharing their everyday life with strangers. They mostly share just good moments and hide their everyday little struggles, pretending problems don’t exist. They DO exist, and that’s OK.

At these magnets you can find a fish that just was crowned and someone fished it out, an ostrich that dig his head into a bucket with cement, a ballerina stepping on a banana peel, a very grumpy cat or a “I’ll be back” monster.

Cards from this series show funny interpretation of common inspirational quotes, which annoy more than help, creating a bigger gap with the real life. Here, you can find an ostrich that was hiding from problems in a bucket full of cement pretending it’s just sand. Or a bull that starts his 1000 mile journey with one step down… to the canyon.

Sometimes life sucks, but that’s OK.
