Our courageous Golden Dragon took some risks and decided to move forward. He didn’t know where this “forward” may lead home and what this “forward” is about, but he made a move. He put all his pentacles together and bought a special peony oil processing machine to produce the oil for the whole kingdom. The machine was good, the oil smelled delicious, and the Dragon was happy and satisfied himself.
The majestic Dragon carried his precious oil to the bustling market with the intention of selling it and also donating a portion to the order. Regrettably, as he pulled his wagon very roughly through the city, it unexpectedly slipped and tumbled down, causing the Golden Dragon to witness the heart-wrenching sight of his oil, along with an entire year of hard work, vanishing into thin air. At this moment he knew that he had broken and there were five months of tough times ahead before peonies started blooming again and he could make a drop of oil.
Filled with despair, he stumbled upon the path leading to the abode of the Wise Owl, only to discover that the doors were securely locked. His search yielded nothing but a melancholic note that read, “I have departed to visit my kin in the depths of the Pine Forest, in the company of the King. Expect my return in a span of five weeks.” Uncertain of when exactly these “five weeks” would elapse, our majestic Golden Dragon settled himself by the entrance, patiently awaiting the long-awaited homecoming of the Wise Owl.
Very soon, his old companion Chipmunk appeared and joined him waiting as he also was seeking a piece of wise advice from the Owl. The chipmunk had another problem. He was very playful and careless. He enjoyed all summer joggling the seeds and nuts, but soon realized it’s time to hibernate and the stash was empty. In a panic, he started working on collecting nuts, cones and juicy corn, but he broke his leg before even one-month supplies were saved.
They stayed together. The Golden Dragon provided the Chipmunk with protection and some food, while the Chipmunk offered a nice company full of silly jokes that helped the Dragon not to feel lonely.
