Pentacles 2

The Two of Pentacles is the next step after the Ace of Pentacles.

The Two of Pentacles, in general, stands for a lot of work, but a lack of reward, but a fine balance at the same time to keep things going:

  • Movement towards Balance
  • Charon who is travelling between the two worlds
  • Geminis, which is constantly juggling a variety of interests, hobbies, careers etc.
  • Mercury in his own Third House, providing good communication and success in the “near territory”, such as siblings, friends, neighbours, co-workers, clients, relatives, hobbies, short trips etc.
  • The Moon in AC, meaning high adaptivity
  • For business, a situation of a stalemate in chess

All these symbols can be found in the picture. And here is a story of our Dragon.

The Golden Dragon started his new journey. He chose to plant and grow peonies as his work because he loved the smell and beauty of these flowers and was sure that the others would appreciate them too.

And here all the first troubles arrived: he just couldn’t decide what would be better for him: growing white, pink or red peonies; selling the seedlings or cutting flowers, or extracting the oil from the petals. The more he thought, the more he got confused: apparently, he could not do everything at once by himself. If he sells seedlings, there will be no cut flowers. If he sells flowers, there will be no fragrance oil to extract. But he wanted to try these all as he hasn’t known what he’d like better and what the others would buy more.

So, he made the hardest choice ever and decided to do everything. All three paths required a lot of work and he hardly managed to make everything on time: packing seedlings for gardeners, wrapping bouquets for Mother’s Day and extracting oil in summer. Every job brought him very little, but enough to stay afloat.

Very soon the Golden Dragon got used to a new lifestyle and little by little found out what he loves better about the peonies: their unforgettable aroma; something from roses, something from citrus, something from spring. Eventually, he planted many different kinds of peonies that smelled sweeter, rosier, more citrusy, or spicier to create bottles of oils, unique in their scents.

The Golden Dragon started working hard and learning a lot about extracting essential oils.
